- Complete the following webquest to learn more about climate change!
- This will be collected at the end of class.
- Go to www.camelclimatechange.org
- Go to the "Causes" section on the left side navigation panel
- How has the climate on earth changed throughout history? Explain, citing your sources in the space provided below.
- What evidence is there for this change? How do we know that climate has fluctuated?
- What do models tell us about the future?
- Navigate to the "Consequences" section.
- Comment on the economic effects
- How are ecosystems being disturbed? Give specific examples (think case studies)
- Go to the "Solutions" section.
- Comment on some economic solutions available.
- What are some "Local" policies that have been effective (they do not have to be local for you, just done at the local level)? Would they work here? Why or why not?
- Navigate to "Actions" > "Individual" > "Activities" > "Education" > "Misconceptions". Then go to Articles and read the article on "Climate Change Skepticism" (posted by Sydney Draggan).
- Using specifics from THIS article, why do you think people are skeptical of science?
- What is the "Snowball Effect"? Why does this all matter?
